Garden Consultations Queenstown
Stop guessing. Get a qualified horticulturist on your property — and walk away with a clear plan.
Most failed Queenstown gardens fail because the wrong decisions were made early. A consultation gets you in front of a qualified landscape horticulturist — on your property, with your soil, your aspect, your problems — before you commit to anything.
You'll leave the visit knowing exactly what to plant, what to fix, and what to leave alone — backed up with written notes you can share with your landscaper, your partner, or your future self.

"An hour with a horticulturist is worth a year of guesswork."
Is a Consultation Right for You?
A consultation works best when you have specific questions and want clear answers — fast.
New Home, New Garden
You've just moved in and want to know what's worth keeping, what to plant, and how to make the space feel like yours.
Plants Failing to Thrive
Things keep dying. We'll diagnose what's going wrong — soil, watering, exposure, species choice — and tell you how to fix it.
Planning Before You Spend
Before you commit thousands at the nursery or hire a landscaper, get an expert second opinion on your direction.
A Garden Refresh
You like your garden but it feels tired. We'll suggest targeted changes that make a big visual difference without a full rebuild.
Questions We Hear All The Time
If any of these sound familiar, a consultation will get you a real answer.
How It Works
A simple, four-step process from booking to actionable advice.
Book Online
Tell us a bit about your garden and what you'd like help with. We'll confirm a time within one business day.
On-Site Visit
We arrive on time, walk the property with you, ask questions, and answer yours. About an hour for most residential gardens.
Written Notes
Within 48 hours you receive a clear summary by email — recommendations, priorities, and plant suggestions you can act on yourself.
Optional Next Steps
If you'd like a full planting plan, ongoing maintenance, or installation, we can quote separately. The consult stands on its own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you'd want to know before booking.
How much does a garden consultation cost?
We quote a fixed fee per consultation based on your location and the size of your property. Get in touch for a current quote — most residential consults sit in a similar range, so there are no surprises.
How long does it take?
About an hour on-site for most residential gardens. We send detailed written notes within 48 hours so you have something to refer back to and act on.
Where do you visit?
Across Queenstown — including Arrowtown, Lake Hayes, Jack's Point, Millbrook, Arthurs Point, and Frankton. If you're nearby and unsure, get in touch and we'll let you know.
Do I have to hire you afterwards?
No. Plenty of our consultation clients DIY their gardens with our notes and never need us again — that's a good outcome. If you do want a full planting plan or ongoing care later, we're here.
What should I have ready before the visit?
Nothing complicated. Photos of any plants you're worried about, a rough idea of your budget, and your wish list. We'll do the rest on-site.
Can you help if I'm getting a quote from a landscaper?
Yes — this is one of the most useful uses of a consultation. We'll review the proposed approach and tell you honestly whether it's right for your site, before you commit.
Get the right answer once — instead of three wrong ones.
Tell us a bit about your garden and what you'd like sorted. Conner will be in touch within one business day to lock in a time.
